Wesbter Hall

I'm sure it's just the bored sign assemblers joking around but isn't there just a little bit inside of you that want's to believe it was a genuine dyslexia induced, slow motion error. Man, it would make my day. Being gullable should be re-labeled optimistic.

Cable Frame

The first thing you think is 'I wish I'd thought of that' right? Well Maisie Maud Broadhead did. Great idea.

Free Falling

Surely the greatest self portraits of all time? Inspired by the helplessness he felt after the 9/11 attacks, Kerry Skarbakka photographs himself falling from trees, jumping off bridges and in the midst of fires. Seriously worth a look. Amazing shots.

Stranger Than Paradise

The ICA are hosting a Jim Jarmusch extravaganza all through December, to celebrate the release of the great director's latest movie 'The Limits of Control'. They're playing three of his own masterpieces (Dead Man, Stranger Than Paradise, Down by Law) along with The Limits of Control, plus a bunch of other bad ass and rare films that inspired the amazing fruit bar.

You can read all about it and view the programme in full right here.

Mixtape

Also whilst browsing through Juxtapoz I discovered this dude - Aakash Nihalani. He's a street artist that goes round altering environments and dimensions with muti-coloured tape. He's just branched out to India apparently. Read more here and definately check out Aakash's website www.aakashnihalani.com

Blind Leading the Blind

I found this animation on juxtapoz.com. Ericailcane, DEM from Italy and Will Barras from the UK, created the animation to accompany music that was being written at the same time by – Om Unit (UK), Tatsuki (JP) and Tayone (IT).

They all worked in Bologna for 4 consecutive days, but never saw the final result of each other’s work until the last day.

When everything was brought together for the final showcase, no one knew what it would look and sound like together until the show started.

BAD.

Nobutaka Aozaki

'Tgot' by Nobutaka Aozaki.

I recently visited the Hunter College's end of year Art show and was particularly taken by Nobutaka's work. This installation piece was super immersive, I stood gawk eyed for ages, sucked in by it's mortal breathing and hypnotic pulse. You can check out more of his Nobutaka's work on his website www.nobutakaaozaki.com. The Smiley Bag Project is pretty bitching also! Good work.
